This project is a continuation of previous projects (Beyond Colors 1 and 2), and it began in 2023.
A documentary art project aimed at highlighting the collective memory of the Syrian community, particularly the people of the city of Homs who suffered from the war and have their own unique experiences.
Harmony helped them bring this story to the world by expressing it through various forms of art, in an attempt to document and preserve these experiences.
The project collected 10 true stories, which were then transformed into diverse artistic works, including painting, sculpture, design, musical composition, and literary writing.
Simultaneously, preparations began for the exhibition “The Alphabet of Art and Humanity” by selecting and setting up a suitable location. Ten tents were erected, each containing the written story, a sculpture, a painting, a graphic design, and a piece of the musical score, along with decor that serves the context of the story.
Life grants you wings that can never be repeated, and it may take them away from you in a single day! Yet their mark remains inside you always. You nourish them with your beautiful memories, speak of them, and live with them in your heart and mind because they are your wings.
Stories are told to take us on a journey to different worlds, where features and imaginations blend. We see, hear, and live the tales of people who believed in hope and made it a path for us to walk.
We embrace ourselves, our memories, our history, yet we are unable to embrace our soul, which the distances have stolen from the closeness of our heart. We return with all the strength life has given us to gather what remains of ourselves and rise again to embrace those we love with all our love and hope for future meetings.
Harmony is not just a story; it is a life lived by many, from the seed of the idea to the fruits of today. With our hopes, dreams, hands, and confidence in ourselves and the community, we turn imagination into reality. We always believe that humans are the cornerstone of building peace, and we return with all the strength life has given us to gather what remains of ourselves and rise again to embrace those we love with all our love and hope for future meetings.
